Tofino Hot Springs Cove Tour Tips:

There is no wonder why Hot Springs Cove is a favorite place for locals and tourists who have been fortunate
enough to experience its magic. It is a full day trip, leaving Tofino by boat or plane. (Several charter
companies do this trip daily). The boat cruise is approximately one and a half hours each way, and can be
enjoyed by two different routes. The "outside" route is along the outside of Vargus and Flores islands, where
many
whales, sealions, sea otters, seals, eagles and sea birds may be seen! The "inside" passage is
along the inside of these islands, where you may see many black bears,
bald eagles in their nests or
soaring above head, beautiful islands & inlets,
rainforests and the occasional wandering whale, sealion and
seal! The outside passage has larger swells and open ocean, where as the inside passage holds calmer &
sheltered ocean waters. Many charter boats chose to take one way to the hotsprings, and the other way
back, allowing for full enjoyment of both apects of the waters.
Upon arrival, your boat will dock at the start of a beautiful boardwalk which takes you through a thick green
west coast rainforest. The boardwalk is approximately a half hour leisurly walk until reaching the springs,
which are located in amongst the rocks. There are a few pools descending towards the ocean, with each
pool becoming slightly cooler the closer it is to the ocean. A small waterfall of hot springs starts at the top
pool, trickling into each of the pools below. For a most exhilerating experience, you can sit in the lowest
pool, to feel the cold surge of the tide as it fills the pool and leaves you again with the hot spring water.

Be sure to book any Hot Spings Cove Tours prior to travel, especially if you plan to visit between May and
September, as things book up quickly during that time.

Feel free to use our adventure enquiry form which will get sent to all of our specified West Coast Tour
partners. Works great for quick quotes and availabilty!
