spring and summer months for these migrating whales, and many can be seen
during this time!

Each year since 1999 the Pacific Rim Whale Festival Society has had the
pleasure of featuring a local artist's work through signature posters that are now
considered by many as collector's items!

Check out this year's Festival Poster by artist Angie Roussin of Pina Styles!

May 1-3, 2010 - Shorebird festival: Tofino's expansive mudflats and beaches are
the perfect habitat and feeding grounds for migrating shorebirds during the spring
months. From mid April until June, thousands of shorebirds rest and feed before

7,000 kilometres from as far as the Southern tip of South America, to their
Northern breeding grounds in Canada and Alaska.
